C-1. TALCO WORKING RANGES : PROFILE – 19500, 6063, 6061 and 6082 ALLOYS
SHEETS : 1050, 3003 ALLOYS
Quality standards have developed considering the process capability in tandem with the internationally accepted standards like GERMAN(DIN), BRITISH (BS) & QUALANOD. Quality check & inspection are conducted of various stages of the production to ensure the quality of the product being anodized is acceptable to the satisfaction of the customer. As such various tests being conducted are in accordance with DIN, BS & Qualanod standards. The routine check conducted during in—process & the final inspection ore referred to DIN/BS standards. some of the tests which are not conducted as it is not essential as on application. Based on customers requirement necessary test certificate can be provided. The anodize film thickness is checked (in microns with a calibrated tester & the tolerance shall be 14 microns unless otherwise specified by the customer. In intended exposed surface, however all drawing must have exposed area marking & the external perimeter mentioned for calculation of the surface area of the profile subject to anodizing process.
C-2) ELECTRO COLORING RANGES
ALTAISEER has developed its own standards named as ALCO series in silver and coloring finishes of anodizing profile. The ranges of electro coloring available with AAC at present are as follows.
To meet customers special requirement in between ALCO ranges, ALTAISEER has developed certain ranges and coded as Grade 1,2,3….for all ALCO series.
C-3) VISUAL INSPECTION AFTER ANODIZING (REF.STANDARD, EN 12373-1) :-
C-3.1) VISUAL INSPECTION FOR SHADE/COLOUR :-
Matching is carried out by comparison with the minimum & maximum colour limit sample developed by ALTAISEER for each ALCO series & grades unless otherwise specified by the customer. The sample (min. & max. limit) & anodized profile to be inspected shall be hold together the sample plane & to be viewed from a distance of one meter in defused daylight, not on direct sun light. ALTAISEER operates with a deviation of 0-3 point on colour variation (A E Value) for light shades / colour such as ALCO-3000……ALCO-4000 series & 0-5 points on dark shades as ALCO -5000….ALCO-7000 series. The above figures have been derived from measurement by measuring instrument.
C-3.2 VISUAL INSPECTION FOR SURFACE DEFECT :-
Such as streaks, corrosion, patches, defection marks, die line etc, are carried out by comparison with AAC standard reference sample for acceptable and not acceptable limits to marks sure that only material of good surface finish is supplied to the customers.
C-3.3 VIEWING STANDARD :-
The viewing distance for visual inspection for both (1) color/shade matching by comparison with color limits (min. & max.) and (2) surface defects shall be one meter unless otherwise specified /agreed upon by customers.
C-3.4.1 WEIGHT LOSS TEST :-
A mass loss of not more than 30mg/dm (3.0gm/mt). when tested by the method described. The loss of mass weight test shall be externally done through an approved agency if required by the customers.
C-3.4.2 DYE SPOT TEST (EN 12373-4) :-
The dye spot test is followed as per the standard EN 12373-4 refer chart – (Annex page #3).
C-3.4.3 ADMITTANCE TEST (En 12373-5) :-
The quality of sealed anodic oxidation coating is measured by performing the admittance test as per EN 12373-5.
